Wholesale Inquiries
You may not have yet considered it, but adding wholesale inquiries to your policies is a great way to encourage new business. Perhaps someone wants to inquire about ordering 10 cakes for a party, 50 kits for a sports team, or to discuss future collaborations. Whatever the weather, open the window of opportunities.
Other policies that are not necessary to include, but might be worth a mention are:
-
Packaging – If you offer gift wrapping with gift messages or custom packaging requests, let your customers know.
-
Coupons & Discounts – If you offer gift cards or digital coupons, use this section to clearly state the terms and conditions. Is there a “Valid Through” date? Can coupons be used on sale items? You may want to set a minimum purchase requirement or limit the number of uses. Coupons and discounts will excite your customer — make sure they don’t get bogged down in the details.
-
Membership Policies – If you encourage subscribers on your eCommerce store (offering discounts on their first purchase, exclusive access to new merchandise, or other perks), inform readers about the terms & conditions here.
-
Size Charts – Size charts are a great add-on for e-merchants, especially those dealing with clothing, shoes, and furniture. Your size chart should appear in table format and include a sentence that notes: “All conversions are approximate and may vary by label, brand, or personal preference of fit.”
